Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to volunteer for the entire Event?

No! While we high appreciate and welcome volunteers to stay for the entire event, we understand there are other commitments. Volunteers can volunteer any time they can. Just make sure to notify Anakaren at abradshaw@thecenterranch.org what time frame you are available we can plan accordingly.

Can I be both an Event Volunteer and a Regular Volunteer?

Yes! You can be both an Event Volunteer and a Regular Volunteer. Regular Volunteers usually assist at our events, anyways! However, being an event volunteer is ideal for someone who wishes to make a difference, but cannot make a commitment of weekly volunteer hours.

Is there an Age Requirement?

We happily take volunteers who are as young as 13 years of age. If you are under 18 years, please contact abradshaw@thecenterranch.org for a Parent Consent Form.

What will I be doing at the Events?

Each event is different! We will have varying tasks for volunteers at each event. Example of tasks include: managing carnival games, selling tickets, assisting instructors in animal care, set up, clean up, serving food, etc.

Please let us know if there are any tasks you are unable to perform, such as heavy lifting. Safety is top priority for ALL our volunteers!

Can I Volunteer for Community Service Hours?

Yes!! The amount of hours you volunteer can be counted as community service hours needed for clubs or organizations. Just make sure to have the proper paperwork signed by one of our employees, to ensure you get your hours counted!

We are proud to always have volunteers from AVID, Girl Scouts, Eagles Scouts, and other clubs!
